one crazy year!

it has been one year since i last updated this blog and SOOO much has happened! since last october, jake and i bought and moved into our new home in yorkville, i graduated from cosmetology school, jake started working at argonne national lab, i had two baby showers, lots of trips to the hospital for early labor, got a job at hair cuttery, and on march 5th, we welcomed our wonderful, healthy, beautiful baby girl, Grace Lorelai Brown - 7lbs 18 1/2 in. long :)
this has been the most incredible year and we feel so blessed!

Oh Baby!!

Hello! I'm 19 weeks pregnant today!!Almost half way there! This has been such an awesome week, despite still recovering from the (Swine?)Flu...The baby started kicking super hard! I am now able to feel it from the outside! My grandma and Jake got to feel it, it's so amazing. it feels like its doing somersaults, which it probably is. It had the hiccups yesterday, that felt weird!
But other than that, Jake finally got to hear the heartbeat (144 bpm!yay!) on saturday at my checkup. My doctor said i was having a "model pregnancy". That made me happy.
Jake and I are so busy accumulating house things, baby things, and organizing and packing our existing things...its a lot of work. Im hoping to be able to move in by Halloween! lets keep our fingers crossed. All in all, things are good :) despite being broke, out of work, sick, and burnt out at school haha, life is pretty good these days ♥
